Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz Summer Camp – Zuoz, Switzerland

An Engadin summer of languages, passions and mountain adventure, at one of Switzerland’s oldest boarding schools.

Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz, founded in 1904, is a renowned international boarding school in the Upper Engadin valley, a few minutes from St. Moritz. Each summer its campus opens to young people aged 10 to 17 from all over the world, for two or four weeks. The 130,000 m² campus has 12 buildings, two ice rinks, tennis courts, a golf driving range and its own Zuoz Globe Theatre.

Mornings are dedicated to learning, afternoons to the programme each student chooses, and the weekends to excursions and outdoor activities.

Morning courses: languages or digital skills

Students learn German, English or French in small groups matched to their level, with teachers from Academia Learning Basel. Instead of languages, they can choose a digital skills course – robotics, artificial intelligence and programming – run with TechSpark Academy.

Afternoon programmes: discover a passion

  • Film Acting & Filmmaking: acting in front of the camera and making a film, with the Hollywood actor Gian Franco Tordi
  • Football Camp: intensive training with professional coaches
  • Sport Experience: a different sport every day in the mountains and on campus
  • Golf Training: lessons with Swiss PGA professionals of Golf Engadin St. Moritz

Sport, adventure and mountain life

Activities include mountain biking, climbing, river rafting, sailing, tennis, archery, hiking and yoga, with mini-Olympics, talent shows and evening events on campus.

Wilderness Camp and Junior Day Camp

The Wilderness Camp, for ages 14 to 17, is a two-week outdoor adventure: survival and orienteering skills, mountain expeditions and nights in tents or bivouacs. The Junior Day Camp welcomes children aged 6 to 9, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 16:00, in English or German, with bus pick-up and no accommodation.

Life on campus

Students live in the school’s boarding houses with full board, supervised by an international team of teachers and counsellors. The 2027 sessions run from 4 to 16 July and from 18 to 30 July.
