TASIS Summer Programs – Lugano, Switzerland
An international summer of learning, sport and travel on a hillside campus overlooking Lake Lugano.
TASIS The American School in Switzerland has its campus in Montagnola, above Lugano, in Italian-speaking Switzerland: around 25 buildings, from the 17th-century Villa De Nobili to the modern Campo Science Center, with views of the lake and the mountains. Each summer it welcomes students from more than 60 countries, in two three-week sessions: 27 June to 17 July and 19 July to 8 August 2027.
Programmes by age
Courses
Teenagers choose among English as an Additional Language, French Language & Culture, Italian, Academic and Creative Writing, Finance, Lean Startup, STEM, Art & Design, Architecture & Design, Fashion, Digital Photography, Filmmaking, Musical Theater and La Cucina Italiana. Each session ends with a Summer Arts Festival.
Sport and adventure
Afternoons on the lake and on campus: windsurfing, paddleboarding, sailing, swimming, tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, dance, rock climbing and yoga. Clubs include waterskiing, wakeboarding, golf, tennis and football with the Milan Academy. Adventures range from canyoning and kayaking in Ticino to the alpine slide on Monte Tamaro and ice climbing in the mountains.
Excursions and travel
Day trips to Milan, Zurich, Lucerne, Lake Como, the Borromean Islands and Val Verzasca, with optional weekend trips to the French and Italian Rivieras, Venice, Rome, Verona and Zermatt.
Life on campus
Boarders live in campus dormitories with roommates from different countries, with full board and a dedicated international team.
